Another day, another shock in the World Cup group stages. Thankfully ‘The Data Day Live’ is back to break down exactly what happened between Germany and Japan.

Our panel were joined by Linus Braun from Opta Franz to look back over Germany’s shock defeat as well as what it means for them moving forwards in the tournament, especially following Spain’s big win over Costa Rica. There’s still four more matchday one games at the 2022 World Cup to be completed today, being headlined by Brazil getting their quest underway against Serbia – we were joined by Sacha Pisani for a detailed dive into the Serbian line-up and how they might be able to spring a surprise.

Each weekday through the 2022 World Cup, The Data Day Live will bring you up to date with the latest from the tournament. Want to catch the shows live? Make sure you are following us on Twitter or you can also watch the show on our YouTube channel.
