HBCU+ FCS National Team of the Week

Texas Southern (27-9 win at Prairie View A&M)

The Cris Dishman coaching era opened with a rousing road win in the Labor Day Classic and ended Texas Southern’s nine-game losing streak against Prairie View. The Tigers claimed the SWAC opener by keeping PVAMU without an offensive touchdown for the first time since 2003, producing five sacks along the way. Offensively, Danny Green Jr. rushed for 83 yards and two touchdowns in the win.
