Where’s Gary? It turns out just about anywhere in FCS college football.

The new “FCS National Awards on Campus” has been both successful and far-ranging during the first half of the regular season, with Gary Reasons visiting the campuses of Morgan State (Baltimore), Idaho (Moscow), Southern Illinois (Carbondale), Central Arkansas (Conway), South Dakota (Vermillion) and UAlbany (Albany, New York).

During the campus visits each Tuesday, the two-time Super Bowl champion and a three-time FCS All-American at Northwestern State is joined by a member of the FedEx Ground team to make an in-person presentation to one of the five FedEx Ground national player or team of the week award recipients, announced by Stats Perform each Monday.

Reasons also speaks to the coaching staff and members of the football team to provide his insight into the sport. Video of the campus visits air during the weekly FCS Delivered” podcast via YouTube, on Stats Perform’s FCS social media channels (X, Facebook and Instagram) and on TheAnalyst.com.

The on-campus visits have been a fun, energetic whirlwind. Within 24 hours of the weekly awards announcement, Reasons has planned a trip and made his way to a different campus from coast to coast.

“Having a national FCS award being presented each week on campus is an entirely new twist to the FCS community,” he said. “Having gone out now for the first six weeks of the season to a present a FedEx Ground National Player or Team of the Week Award, the receptions have been outstanding by the university presidents, athletic directors, sports information directors, coaches and players. We’ve truly broken new ground as we’re recognizing tremendous FCS play each week ‘somewhere’ in the country following a tremendous week of games.

“Capturing scenic video of the university, football and athletic facilities along with interviews of players, coaches and university leadership as part of our ‘FCS on Campus’ visits have given us a great, new platform of content, where we can share a uniquely positive focus on FCS football. With our presenting partner, FedEx Ground and their desire to inform student-athletes of potential career opportunities past their playing days, this is really the cherry on top to what FCS on Campus is all about.”

Six weeks remain in the FCS regular season, and the next answer to “Where’s Gary?” can only be found in the outstanding performances of the thousands of players and 128 schools in the NCAA Division I subdivision.
