Manchester United dropped one of their most disappointing performances under Erik Ten Hag on Sunday in the Premier League. Check out the best facts, stats and live Opta data with our Manchester United vs Tottenham stats page.

Tottenham absolutely blew Manchester United away on Sunday, winning 3-0 at Old Trafford in a scoreline that flattered the home side.

Brennan Johnson, Dejan Kulusevski and Dominic Solanke got the goals for Spurs and in truth, Ange Postecoglou’s side should have had more. The away side registered 4.67 expected goals which was not only the most on record in their top-flight history, but the most United have ever conceded at home in a Premier League game.

United started terribly, and Johnson put Spurs ahead after just 155 seconds, the earliest Man Utd have conceded in the Premier League since August 2023 vs Nottingham Forest (88s). Things got even worse for United in the first half, after Bruno Fernandes was sent off for the first time in his Manchester United career, on what was his 242nd appearance for the club.

United never recovered from that and were cut open repeatedly as they pushed forward to level things.

Tottenham are now unbeaten in each of their last four Premier League games against United (W2 D2), their longest run without defeat against them in the competition since September 2012-December 2014 (five games – W2 D3).
