Arne Slot’s side are top of the table after edging out Wolves at Molineux. Check out the best facts, stats and Opta data from the game with our Wolves vs Liverpool stats page.

Liverpool went top of the Premier League on Saturday night with a win at Wolves as Arne Slot’s side took advantage of Manchester City’s slip-up at Newcastle earlier in the day.

City’s draw opened the door first to Arsenal, who could not beat Leicester by the three clear goals they needed to, and then Liverpool to take pole position, and Slot’s side came up with the win they required.

It wasn’t a vintage Liverpool performance, particularly for much of the first half, when Wolves created some decent openings, but goals from Ibrahima Konaté – his first in the Premier League – and a penalty from Mo Salah either side of Rayan Aït-Nouri’s equaliser were enough.

Liverpool sit one point clear of both City and Arsenal on 15 points, with five wins and a defeat from their first six Premier League games under Slot.
