Wolves took the lead in the 36th minute with a wonderful counter-attacking goal. The home side progressed the ball quickly down the right, and Jørgen Strand Larsen’s low cross was dummied by João Gomes, allowing Mario Lemina to sweep home from close range.

Gary O’Neil’s side led until the 75th minute, until Fabian Schär’s long-range strike deflected off Craig Dawson and swerved into the top corner. Newcastle scored the winner moments later, with Harvey Barnes cutting inside and firing into the far corner from just outside the box.
