Jhon Durán’s second-half stunner proved decisive in a Villa Park thriller. Re-live the action with the best facts, stats and Opta data in our Aston Villa vs Everton stats page.

Everton became just the second club in Premier League history to lose successive matches having been two goals up in both as they lost 3-2 at Aston Villa on Saturday.

The Toffees suffered a humiliating collapse last time out against Bournemouth and once again failed to hold their nerve, condemning them to their worst start to a season in 66 years with a fourth loss on the bounce.

Dwight McNeil and Dominic Calvert-Lewin had them 2-0 up in the first half, but an Ollie Watkins brace restored parity and Jhon Durán sealed the comeback win.

Durán’s long-range screamer was a fitting winner for a thrilling game at Villa Park, as Unai Emery’s went up to third in the table on nine points from four games.
