Check out the best facts, stats and live Opta data with our West Ham vs Man City stats page as the reigning Premier League champions made it three wins from three.

Erling Haaland scored his eighth Premier League hat-trick as Manchester City extended their 100% start to the new Premier League season with a convincing win at West Ham.

Two first-half goals, either side of the hosts equalising through a Rúben Dias own goal, and a third strike seven minutes from time meant Haaland moved ahead of Wayne Rooney in the list of players with the most hat-tricks in Premier League history. Quite incredibly given he is only three games into his third season in England, there are just three players above Haaland in that list.

It was all too familiar a sight for West Ham, against whom Haaland now has seven goals in five Premier League appearances.

It also should have come as no surprise to see him thrive early on in the season. Haaland now has 19 goals in 11 Premier League games in the month of August.

The win sent City top of the Premier League with three wins from three, with Pep Guardiola extending his record against the Hammers to a record 17 games without defeat.
